Zerrin Zaps Zonguldak
As mentioned in Part 1 -- The Undisputed Queen of For example, in one 'lost title' 16mm film (in which Egeliler plays a nightclub singer/dancer) in our Turkish movies database, the movie's director/editor has inserted real-seks scenes with such care and attention to detail that it's difficult for us to see where Zerrin leaves off and the 'insert actress' comes in. Admittedly, some of our visual difficulty is due to the mediocre quality of our 16mm movie-copy. But is that very significant? The director/editor went to great lengths to fool the audience's eye into believing that Egeliler was having real-seks on camera -- and Egeliler went along with the ruse. So, if it looks like a duck, and walks like a duck...then it might as well be Egeliler, don'tcha think? Therefore, we see very little point in Egeliler's denials -- they suggest that she wants to 'have her cake and eat it too'. She wants to enjoy the 'erotik' aura that surrounds her (and the money that goes along with it) -- but she also wants an award for 'purity'. hmmm. I don't think so... Of course, 'having one's cake and eating it too' isn't a 'sin' exclusive to Zerrin Egeliler. We (along with most of humankind) are as guilty of that as she is... No trouble finding leading men... Whether or not you believe she deserves an award for purity, there's no denying that she was a knockout on film... with a sultry Mediterranean face, a sensual yet vulnerable manner, and a voluptuous balık etinde body -- despite a slight cellulite problem that she was sometimes unable to hide (or disguise). As a result, she had no trouble lining up the most popular actors of her day as her co-stars... the list is long and quite impressive. In 1979 alone, she made a ton of movies (37 to be exact)... and her list of leading men included (but was not limited to) such names as:
But, even in the company of such a popular group of leading men, she professed to be disgusted by sex after making an 'erotik' film. Which means she must have been disgusted with sex for the whole of 1978 and 1979, when she made 58 'erotik' movies! Well maybe... but let's discuss that claim further in Part 3: The Bare Facts of Movie Life -- According to Zerrin Egeliler. It includes a revealing film clip from Rezalet (Disgrace) which also starred Bülent Kayabaş, Turgut Özatay, and Yüksel Gözen.
