After the seks furyası era ran its course, female erotik stars like Karaca Kaan could no longer find work in conventional films. But male erotic stars (like Hadi Çaman, Tamer Yiğit, Ünsal Emre, Bülent Kayabaş, Kazım Kartal, Çetin Başaran, Aydemir Akbaş, İlyas Salman, and so on and so on) had no problem at all.
From the point of view of the outspoken Kaan, that's criminal.
Cihan Demirci149, writes that Kaan was 'mad as hell' about that disparity when Melda Davran interviewed her for the Sunday Supplement of Milliyet Gazetesi in 1999.

Karaca Kaan is one of the first names that come to mind when you talk about the seks furyası era. But Kaan is angry about how she's been overlooked...
"We put the arses back in cinema seats ...If it weren't for us (female erotik stars), Yeşilçam would have lost its entire audience to the burgeoning home-TV competition of the 1970s."
Later, when Karaca Kaan was interviewed for 32nd Day (Mehmet Ali Birand's late night TV program) she made a pay-back list...
"When the TV industry turned its back on the out-of-work Yeşilçam workforce, we girls stepped in and saved the jobs of male actors, directors, cinematographers, editors, lighting specialists, costume designers, doubles -- the list is long. But Yeşilçam's memory is short, and now it turns its back on us..."
