Kindred spirits Consider this...
According to Cihan Demirci149 who was finally able to track down Dilber Ay for a lengthy interview in the late 1980's, Ay made the following incredible 'denials'...
Such statements from Dilber Ay's long-and-winding tongue flabbergast us, dear reader. Like Bill Clinton, she must have her own self-serving 'understanding' of what constitutes real seks. Either that, or she was so high on cognac and/or 'weed' in Takma Kafama (for example) that she just doesn't remember the shenanigans she got up to with Cem Eser in that film. And also, she must have forgotten her full-bodied performance in Bunalım (Gece Yaşayan Kadın) -- in which her various orfices got a complete onscreen workout by Hakan Özer.
Unfortunately, you'll just have to take our word for it -- because if we showed you the complete cinematic proof, we'd lose our Dilber Ay never hid the fact that liquor and 'weed' were freely available and in frequent use on her movie sets:
"I made a movie called Ölüm Savaşı/Savaşcıları in 1978 . Film-shooting began quite routinely. Then, at one point the director said, 'Take off your top, but leave your bra on.' I took my top off, and with that, a bottle of cognac appeared -- and the air became heavy with sweet-smelling smoke...'Have a sip, it'll relax you,' they said. I did -- and after that my price for disrobing rose quite quickly."
Dilber Ay knew how silly she sounded when denying her on-camera seks scenes... At another point in the Demirci interview, she admitted: "In one of my movies, it might have been Cemile'nin Kaderi, there was a grup seks scene, in which I was to perform with 3 or 4 guys. So why did Dilber Ay (and other erotik actresses [like Zerrin Egeliler and Alev Altın] and erotik actors [like Kazım Kartal and Çetin Başaran]) have such a hard time admitting that they really did 'it' in the movies of the seks furyası era?
That's a shameful subject that we've saved for Part 6, Shamefaced Dilber Ay.
