In this scene from Arzu (Desire) made in 1976 youngster Arzu Okay loves to scandalize her family and tantalize the older-man (Demircan Türkdoğan) she fancies -- leaving him (exasperated) with an invitation to a late night rendezvous in her bedroom. It's a 1.7MB Windows Media Video .WMV file... Until Arzu Okay, Mine Mutlu, and Feri Cansel broke the mold, the casting of 'innocent-looking' actresses in erotic Turkish movie roles was considered unthinkable. In 1974, all three of them took that unthinkable step -- with Arzu Okay in front...a lot more willing than the other two 'innocents' to disrobe and perform in simulated cinsel scenes for the movie cameras. Arzu Okay's first erotik film appearance in 1974 was in the seks-komedi Aman Ne Gırgır (Oof! How Funny is that!) with a trio of (less-innocent) well-known actresses: Bahar Erdeniz, Mine Soley, and Figen Han -- which was a major box-office success. So 20-year-old Arzu Okay then teamed up with 26-year-old Mine Mutlu (something the two friends would do several times in future) for the block-buster 'erotik'-comedy hit Olmaz Böyle Şey (This Kind Of Thing Isn't Possible). Arzu Okay and Mine Mutlu provide the steam in Olmaz Böyle Şey Click! In Olmaz Böyle Şey (directed by Oksal Pekmezoğlu), actress Mine Mutlu uses her physical charms to help her brother Ahmet win the hand of the girl-next-door. Mine's provocative belly-dance captivates the chubby father and his friends... So daddy gives his wedding permission, and set offs for home again with his pals. But 'the boys' can't resist a parting peep through the bottom floor window... as you'll see in the above-linked film-clip (a reconstructed 5.8MB Windows Media Video .WMV file). But, though neither Arzu Okay nor Mine Mutlu reveals any truly 'naughty' body-parts in Olmaz Böyle Şey (unless you count the nearly X-Rated film-segments in which look-alike actresses appear in their stead) -- it certainly wasn't because Okay, in particular, was shy. And she proved that point time-and-again by getting down to the bare essentials in films like Gelinin Ödü Patladı (The Bride Was Scared Out Of Her Wits - 1975), Şipşak Başarım (I Succeed Instantly - 1975), Arzu (Desire - 1976), Sokak Kadını (Street Woman - 1976), Tepedeki Ev (The House On The Hill - 1976), and Vahşi Ve Tatlı (Wild And Sweet - 1978)...to name just a few. This film clip from Tepedeki Ev, attests to Arzu Okay's free-spirited willingness to display what nature gave her. While waiting for fiancé Tamer Yiğit to return from work, Okay decides to take a dip in the sea -- in front of all the jealous village hags... whose tongues wag contemptuously. When Tamer shows up in a heightened state of lust, the couple rush home to satisfy burning desires. It's a 1.4MB Windows Media Video (.WMV) file -- which we've shortened for propriety's sake.
