Pheromones are scent (aroma) signals to the opposite Turkish sex that can activate powerful sexual responses among mammals -- including humans. Your body naturally emits pheromones every day. In animal laboratories, pheromones have been shown to influence the sexual development of mammals and even insects. Not only do these natural chemicals play an important role in human sexual attraction, but also in copulatory behaviour. Scientists have identified fatty acids in the reproductive organs of human females identical to several that act as sex pheromones in other primates. The human female's sensitivity to musklike odors/odours is greatest around the time of ovulation, which some researchers accept as proof of the genetic presence of a musky male pheromone. And, it may be true that people who give off the highest amounts of pheromones also have the greatest success with members of the opposite sex. But what about lesser mortals? Well, there's still hope -- because a growing number of personal-product companies now claim the ability to simulate a high pheromone count through artificial means...
