![The mini-article explains how a Turkish 'nargile' works -- and the headline and text say: The smoke is filtered in water-cooled smoking... The liquid in the 'nargile' bottle, as we all know, is [ordinary] tap water-cooled smoking. On top of the water-cooled smoking there's an air pocket -- and air that passes to you, when you inhale through the long flexible tube, comes from that [air] pocket. Because [new] air can't get in another way, it causes a water-cooled smoking vacuum and the vacuum [pulls air in from the bowl on top of the nargile tower which] burns the tobacco in the bowl. The smoke that comes to you is filtered in the water-cooled smoking and it reaches [your mouth] in a cooled condition.
