Yağmur Atacan 'tells all' about 'some'
The Turkish Teen magazine 'Chica' reserved several pages in its recent issue for a rambling interview with 23 year-old Yağmur Atacan (Pınar Altuğ's latest flame) -- which was both enlightening and confusing at the same time...
(For more background on this celebrity couple, see our 'Lovers in the Spotlight' page.)
For example, while it's clear from the interview that he's happy now in his 'arrangement'
with the 32-year-old Miss Altuğ, "Being with an older women is
beautiful. A woman in her 30's is a perfect '10'"... it's not clear
what he meant by, "Now and then it's necessary to make a [relationship] change."
He's sure, though, that, "Young girls can't decide whether to be bad or good. The ones who are 30 have made the decision..."
And, "I'm someone who is completely unashamed...I wouldn't be able to
stay long with a good girl."
To establish background for the interview, the Chica reporter asked Yağmur Bey some preliminary questions -- before addressing the subject that was really on her mind...
Q. Apart from acting, what do you do?
YA. As a hobby, I struggle with music. I have a group called 'High Jack' and sometimes I play drums with them. I would love to earn money from music. Also, I'm going to emcee a TV program for TRT (the state-owned Radio and TV corporation of Turkey) called 'Alternative Life'.
C. What is the program about?
YA. It was originally called Meraklısına ('To the inquisitive ones'), but now the name is Alternative Life. We'll start production
soon, and it will introduce various 'nature sports'. In the
first episode we'll cover parachute-jumping, for example. In another
episode we'll do wind-surfing. And I myself will try each of the
sports.
C. You acted in Ömer Faruk Sorak's recently released High-School comedy, Sınav (Examination). Can you tell us about the film?
YA. I played a student. And, it's the last time I'm going to do that; I don't want this kind of role anymore.
C. But your looks and personality are very suitable for those kinds of roles (in young people's films).
YA. They may be suitable, but I'm turning 24 years-old now. I want more mature roles from now on.
C. Did you get good grades in High School?
YA. That's a bad subject, let's not open it!
C. While in High School, how were you at getting girls?
YA. I was good. At the time, I had 3 girlfriends at the same time in
the same school. When I think about it now, I ask myself 'Why?'...
C. You are a womanizer then!
YA. Not anymore! There can be no womanizing in my situation.
C. Do you believe that you are lucky in love?
YA. Incredibly lucky.
C. What sort of girls attract you? Bad Girls, Good Girls, or Showy
Girls (çıtır kızlar)
YA. 'Bad' isn't really necessary. 'Bad girls' put pressure on you. To be with a 'Good girl' for long doesn't work either. 'Showy girls' haven't made up their minds whether to be bad or good. To tell the truth, they are all difficult...
C. Okay, Then what will you do.
YA. Now and then it's necessary to make a [relationship] change.
C. But you're in a relationship now.
YA. Everyone is in a relationship... Me included!
C. In summary, what do you think about 20 year old girls?
YA. Keep them away from me. They are too difficult and full of caprice.
C. And 30 year old girls?
YA. 30 year-olds are beautiful. They're great, because their personality has
settled in. To sum up... at 20, girls think they know, and at 30 they do.
As we were reading through the interview of this up and coming young actor, we kept wondering what sort of impression it would make on his 'older woman' lover Pınar Hanım. And, how long it might be before one or the other of them feel it "necessary to make a change". We'll be sure to let you know when we find out.
