The article explains that, for the first time since their marriage, the newlywed Urals came out of seclusion -- for a vacation in Bodrum.

Halicarnassus (as Bodrum was known in antiquity) is still the vacation spot of choice for Turkey's rich and famous, though in recent years it's lost a lot of its exclusivity appeal -- as tourist condos have spread across the landscape around Bodrum like The Ooze. But, it was still a self-contained village in 1993 when I snapped this photo of your webmaster Peri in front of the Halikarnas Disko in Bodrum, before we entered and danced 'til the wee hours...

And, because Ezgi Hanım didn't want her tan line to show when she wore those low-slung
new-fashioned blue-jeans, she lowered her bikini bottom while sun bathing.
Oh boy did she lower it...
And, although the curious looks of other vacationers
didn't seem to bother her,
when press photograhers took notice and began to gather,
Ezgi Hanım sought refuge in a hurry.
Modesty prevails...
