Turkish Internet Links that are sure to please! Our friend and benefactor Steven C. sent us a message from an Internet Cafe somewhere last Saturday -- with an urgent request. His message read, "Hi Jim and Peri, I hope that you can help with this. I am trying to send some flowers to my sister-in-law's wedding party in Zonguldak... I can't seem to find a çiçekçi outside of either Istanbul or Antalya, even though I know that there's one in Zonguldak merkez. Would you be able to help me out? Zonguldak have a online Internet telephone directory, but the site is not working here in the Internet cafe. Thanks very much, Steven" We've received similar requests before, so we were able answer in a similar manner: "Türk Telecom have an online website with a nationwide telephone directory, Steven. The URL is: http://www.ttrehber.gov.tr/" And for Steven's particular need we continued, "Select yellow pages (Sarı Sayfalar) on the left of the website screen, then İl = Zonguldak and çiçek under Kategorisi..." So Steven managed to get his flowers "to the Church on time." Then just yesterday, we were scanning Hürriyet Gazetesi's e-Yasam news supplement when we came upon a handy list of Top 100 Online Internet Shopping Links for Turkey (see top part of the list at left)...
