Art Continues Imitating Life

In Part 1 of this article series, we saw a mature German woman (portrayed by Nurseli İdiz) get scammed for an expensive meal by a not-so-slick Turkish gigolo -- in the 37th episode of Son Bahar (a popular Turkish TV drama). But İdiz's downfall gains speed when, later, we see the semi-conscious older woman dragged to her luxurious hotel suite by the gigolo. He flops her limp body over the bed, and turns his attention to her purse. From there he extracts her passport, a wad of cash, and a sheaf of credit cards -- before turning to her clothes closet, to see what goodies he might discover there.

You might think that the fictional happenings described above are exaggerated for the sake of 'art'. If that's the case, then what do you think about the real life events described below?

I'm Laurie L. from Sheffield... with a warning for unsuspecting mature British women.
Before even thinking about getting involved with a Turkish guy - DON'T!!!! Recent experience involving - let's call him Burak -- more than proves this.
This young, drop-down gorgeous, Turkish Air Force sergeant based in Izmir targets mature British women who are more than able to support themselves financially. And, he 'grooms' them as potential lovers and financial 'milch-cows'!
Often being involved with more than one older woman at a time and extorting large amounts of money through emotional and psychological blackmail, Burak once held a loaded service-issue handgun to his head in my presence and threatened to shoot himself -- as a way of ending his supposed financial woes!
All this very careful grooming takes place not only online but also in fragrantly convincing love messages on the phone. He declares undying love, wanting just to hear your voice -- and sends endless text messages (probably because they're the cheapest way of communicating). His out of pocket expenses... nil.
He became mortally offended once when I remarked "just how expensive he was to keep"! But he kept pressuring me for money, And, I became so frustrated with his financial entreaties that I called him a "money-grabbing Turk". What a sorrowful act ensued! He feigned deep hurt and dismissed such Turks as "Kurds" -- and spit!

Oh well -- hopefully the authorities will catch up with him before some lethal sexually-transmitted disease does! And, take heed my mature British friends... if you're going to fall for a Turk online ---- Think Twice! Do a Dunn and Bradstreet financial check on him, get at least two references and make sure he's had a full medical check-up in the last three months. And, if all that fails ---- you can always write and complain to The Sun!
