It didn't really matter, though, because there was no actual sex between the actors and actresses on the sets of the early 'erotik' films I did... The male actors all wore alt çamaşırı (jockey shorts, briefs) in those first films. But... although we didn't really have sex, we still had to give the appearance of it. So, scenes were shot at an angle, to make the audience believe that the actors were completely naked. In the years that followed, the situation changed -- and the male actors stopped wearing briefs. After that, things got very sexually intimate indeed -- sometimes with the help of illegal drugs...
I smoked Kent cigarettes back then, and one day someone on the movie set replaced the tobacco in my Kents with 'weed'. Oh oh... after that, you couldn't hold me back. I could barely see what I was doing, I was half blind. And when we got on the bed, drugged-up like that...we got up to every kind of mischief. Who was on top? Who was on the bottom? Whose 'şey' was in someone else's 'şey'? I'm not sure any of us knew, or cared.
But I gave up sex films after a couple of years -- the last one I did was Balkona Etti/Haydar (Haydar Did It On The Porch/Balcony) in 1978, when I played opposite (the legendary 'erotik' and legitimate films actor, writer, and director) Aydemir Akbaş.
I still got offers to do adult films after that, but I didn't like the terms. So I began performing straight roles on stage, where the money was a lot better and more reliable.
